what do you mean by you know raffling to gain personal profit is wrong? Like morally? Because legally a raffle is not wrong, at least not in California or anywhere else I’m aware of. I don’t think you will have a problem with a raffle, especially if it’s going to your business.
It is considered to be a type of gambling in many states. It may not produce a profit for business purposes. Churches and charity organizations may do it though.
