raffle
htamboer asked:

I am a sophomore in high school trying to raise money so I can travel abroad. I thought a raffle would be a good idea to raise money. I thought I could purchase an IPOD nano to raffle off, but I believe many people my age already own one. What other items would students my age buy raffle tickets for?
Just wanted to add, I’m travelling abroad as a foreign exchange student– NOT going on vacation. Thanks.

Other electronics are good: CD players, cordless phones, computer peripherals, alarm clocks, DVD players. People want to join raffles for stuff they actually want.

concert tickets, celeb signatures, cell phone accesories, candies, gift baskets.

or make something, like decorate flip-flops to look cool because that would be cheap and it would be original.

or vouchers? for a cd store or clothes shops. everyone likes music shops.

Find a home party consultant that will work with you and your mother to host a party and give you the profit instead of the credit in sales. I would do it and have for school things before, I sell partylite and live in MD, but other companies do it to.

since youra sophomore you should just raffle off cash there are still people without jobs that need extra money you just take some of the money you raised from the raffle and give it as the prize

You’d be surprised to hear not every kid your age has an Ipod, but it is a good idea to offer any electronics as a raffle prize. It’s always a popular draw even if it seems everybody has one, who wouldn’t mind having two? The Nintendo DS ( with Brain Age) would definitely get the teachers and or parents interested and Will boost your sales of raffle tickets beyond the student body. Especially now with x-mas coming up, you just can’t go wrong with electronics. Good Luck to you!
